As if the web needed one more, right? "Of course it does," I thought to myself as I contemplated the thought of jumping into the blogger world . Every single blog has a different meaning and purpose. For me, the purpose of this blog is to share my love of cooking with those who care to read about it and like to cook. Cooking, baking, and being in the kitchen is like therapy for me. It's my place to escape, try new things, give recipes my own twist, and my way of expressing love to those around me.
I have partially read the book "The Five Love Languages" and taken the quiz to find out what my love languages are. Here are the five love languages: 1) words of affirmation, 2) acts of service, 3) receiving gifts, 4) quality time, and 5) physical touch. Wait...did I miss cooking because I'm pretty that along with #1 and #4, my other love language is cooking.
The feeling that I get when I am in the kitchen (wearing my apron of course), is similar to the feeling some might experience when exercising, playing their favorite sport, taking pictures, or hunting. Sometimes I cook for no reason at all - I cook just because I have the ingredients in my cupboard. I cook to relieve stress, I cook to show love, but most importantly, I cook because it makes me happy!
This blog will be an outlet for me to share my love of cooking with others. I am not sure how often my blog will be updated. Right now, I am pretty jazzed about being a new "blogger" but we all know that sometimes life gets the best of us and I may not have the time to blog as frequently as I'd like. If you wish to follow my blog, please subscribe and you will be updated as I post new things. From a virtual standpoint, I hope you enjoy being in my kitchen as much as I do :)
